Breaking Dawn casting - Renesmee och Benjamin
"Kayla D. (Divenere) of MMG Management in Montreal was called to be seen by the casting director of the Twilight Saga for the new movie "Dawn" Kayla is being considered to be the daughter of Edward and Bella (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart). This is the first major audition for Kayla since it was discovered in July at IHOP!"

Vart ska Breaking Dawn filmas?
There are continued rumors that Breaking Dawn may move down to Louisiana for filming, since they have such great tax incentives. More and more movies and TV are headed to Louisiana. But then there is the this article, which discusses Canada’s sagging dollar, meaning that they are forced to offer more incentives to bring films into Canada. And since New Moon and Eclipse were shot in Vancouver, it isn’t out of the question.
After her star-turn on “On The Road,” Stewart will move over to the next installment of Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight” franchise, “Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn,” with a question mark over whether competing tax breaks will drive the shoot from Vancouver to New Orleans.
In addition, it seems Michigan is throwing its hat in the ring. Apparently they have great incentives, too.
Wouldn’t be cool if Taylor Lautner could show off his native Michigan to co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Bell while filming “Breaking Dawn” — the fourth and final installment of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series?Janet Lockwood, director of the Michigan Film Office, says her staff will contact the production company to suggest the Mitten State as a potential film location. Filming is planned for this fall with a 2011 release date, according to imdb.com.
“We would love to have them film here,” said Lockwood. “The film locations would become tourism sites for people who are fans of the movies and books.”
If there is any truth to the rumor floating around that Louisiana is being considered because of its generous film tax incentives, Michigan might have a shot.
Breaking Dawn blir 2 filmer..
Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz, two of the Twilight co-stars that were in a heated battle with Summit Entertainment over the deal points for the fourth and fifth installment of Breaking Dawn, have signed their deals, sources say. It’s not clear which party buckled and both sides are sure to have their spin, but we can confirm that we’ll see Green back as Alice Cullen for the last two Twilight films. And hunky Lutz will also return as Emmett Cullen for the conclusion of the epic franchise. Bill Condon is directing and production is set to begin in the fall. Summit Entertainment would not confirm the deals. Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser, and Nikki Reed will also be back for Breaking Dawn.

As soon as the news of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn being released hit the world like a rocket, the whispers of contract disputes soon followed. The Matriarch of the saga Elizabeth Reaser aka Esme Cullen voices her opinion on the topic.
The matriarch of the Cullen family in the “Twilight” films says talk of contract disputes are overblown.Elizabeth Reaser, who plays Esme Cullen, says people need to understand contract negotiations are a part of showbiz.
It’s been reported online that Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz, who play vampires Alice and Emmett Cullen, originally had a three-picture deal and needed a new contract for the fourth installment of the franchise.
Summit Entertainment says it won’t comment on negotiations or business discussions on its films.
The studio also won’t say when filming is expected to begin for “Breaking Dawn,” and Reaser hasn’t been given a time line, either.
She says: “I really want to know because I’m trying to plan my life.

Re-casting for "Twilight 5" ?
EXCLUSIVE: Summit Entertainment is working furiously to close the talent deals required to split Stephenie Meyer’s fourth “Twilight” novel into two films. But an unlikely roadblock is holding up an announcement — and could even lead to cast changes for the series’ final installment. The studio is close to finalizing agreements with leads Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, all of whom will get big raises to return for a fifth installment of the vampire romance saga. And director Bill Condon is already signed to film two “Breaking Dawn” movies, which would be shot back-to-back starting in the fall and released in November 2011 and summer 2012, respectively.
But Summit is having a harder time locking in some of the franchise’s secondary characters. Deals for Peter Facinelli (who plays Carlisle Cullen) and Billy Burke (Bella’s father, Charlie Swan) are done, but we’re told the actors who play the Cullen kids (especially Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) are trying to sink their teeth into bigger paydays that, at least at this point, the studio behind the billion-dollar franchise is unwilling to provide. “We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point,” says a source close to the dealmaking.
There is precedent for such a tactic. After the success of the first film, Summit axed Rachelle Lefevre, who played Victoria, in part because her reps played hardball on money and scheduling. (Bryce Dallas Howard got the job instead.) Now, two films into the series, even the minor Twilighters (Lutz in particular) have become sought-after stars, so it makes sense they’d want to be paid more for the final film. But we’re told that the offers from Summit — which are said to be at least 10 times what the actors made on the first movie — were deemed “offensive” given the mega-money the franchise has generated.
Summit declined to comment on the situation. But the studio wants to move quickly to pull the trigger on the two movies — which it won’t until the talent deals are further along — and it isn’t afraid to recast if agreements can’t be reached. Plus, it has even more reason to be concerned about costs this time around. As is typical with blockbuster franchises, the “Twilight” movies are becoming more expensive with each installment. The leads are going to fare especially well if “Breaking Dawn” is split into two parts. The trio were initially signed for three films (remember, this was back when “Twilight” was a low-budget adaptation of a niche YA novel), but in the spring of 2009 — after the first movie became an international hit — they renegotiated all their deals so Summit could lock them for a fourth movie.
The studio then realized that “Breaking Dawn,” with its 900-plus pages and narratives told from two perspectives, was dense enough to be split into two installments (as Warner Bros. announced it would do for the final “Harry Potter” book). Just one problem: The cast wasn’t signed for a fifth movie. They’re all huge stars now, with Lautner in particular running up his quote to the $7.5 million range, so another renegotiation commenced. That meant ponying up big-time for the leads, which would make the final movie more expensive than the others (“Eclipse,” which hits theaters June 30, is costing around $65 million, a figure sure to be dwarfed by the fourth and fifth, even if costs can be amortized by shooting them at the same time). Summit is still holding out the option of simply doing one “Breaking Dawn,” although multiple sources say they’d be shocked if the fifth film doesn’t happen. “This thing is gonna be two movies,” one source says. “With or without the cast intact.” Meyer has already signed off on the plan to make two — a key hurdle, given the approval rights she has in her deal.
Summit also is eyeing another cost-cutting measure for the final installments. A deal is currently being negotiated to move the production to Louisiana (the first was shot in Portland and the second two in Vancouver and Italy). Luring “Twilight” would be a huge “get” for the state — and, given the tax credits, a money-saver for the studio.
“Twilight” has thus far been the rare tentpole franchise made on a non-tentpole budget. It’ll be interesting to see the lengths that Summit will go to to keep it there. Booting an actor from the final installment of a successful series could be a risky move, though we’re betting that as long as their precious Bella, Edward and Jacob return, fans would get over any disappointment pretty quickly.

[Spoilers]
"It represents Bella and Bella," Stephenie spills.
"This cover, one of the reasons why I love it and was so happy we
finally came up with the concept, is that it's the whole book series on
one cover. Bella's starts out as the weakest player on the board and she
ends up as the one who decides the outcome of the story. She became the
most powerful player, and I really liked that metaphor. I liked seeing
her evolution in one picture."
Breaking Dawn's cover shows the weakest piece on a chess board – a pawn –
and focuses on the strongest one, the queen. Although Bella's character
comes full circle, Stephenie still feels that other players in the Twilight
saga have more to share. She confesses that Leah's story doesn't feel
resolved to her and foresees future writing from Renesmee's
point-of-view.
"If I were to go ahead with the Cullen universe -- and honestly I'll do
it for myself, whether I publish it or not is questionable at this point
-- but the narrators that I would go ahead with...would be Renesmee and
Leah. Probably about the age of five, which would be about 16 or 17 for
Renesmee."

Bill Condon lämnar ett meddelande till oss
Greetings Twihards, Twifans, Twilight Moms, Team Edward, Team Jacob and Team Switzerland,
I just want to say hello to all of you and let you know that I’m stoked to be getting underway on the adventure of making BREAKING DAWN. As you’ve probably heard, I’ve been given a very warm welcome by Stephenie and Team Summit – who are super-focused, as you know, on getting these movies right.
I’m pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart: I’ve read BREAKING DAWN twice, rewatched Catherine’s and Chris’s movies 2-3 times each, have all four CDs playing in my car, and have Catherine’s notebook, Mark Cotta Vaz’s companion books, and even Volume 1 of the graphic novel here on my desk – a corner of my office is starting to look like Hot Topic. I realize that this barely qualifies me for “newborn” status in the universe you’ve been living inside for a few years now, but a guy’s gotta start somewhere.
Like many of you, I’ve always been slightly obsessed with vampires, dating back to the prime-time series DARK SHADOWS, which I followed avidly as a kid. But that alone hadn’t been enough to get me interested in making a vampire movie, even though my early screenwriting and directing efforts grew out of a great love for horror movies and thrillers. Since making GODS AND MONSTERS thirteen years ago, however, I’ve been yearning for a return to a story with Gothic overtones.
The wonderful world that Stephenie has created has obviously struck a chord with you, and I don’t think it’s difficult to see why. For me, her characters are simultaneously timeless, yet very modern. Rooted in a beautiful, real landscape with a great sense of place, Bella, Edward, Jacob, and the rest of the Forks/La Push menagerie, experience emotions that are primal, and universal: desire, despair, jealousy – and it all comes to fruition in BREAKING DAWN. This is a final chapter in the best sense; not just wide in scope and scale, but emotionally charged and intense throughout.
I’m a huge admirer of the already-iconic Kristen, Robert, and Taylor, and wanted to be the one to work with them as they face the challenges of bringing your beloved characters to the end of their journeys. Really, what could be more fun than that?
Please feel free to ask questions in the comments section below, and I’ll do my best to answer them. I hope that this will be the first of many occasions I’ll get to check in with you as we set to work bringing BREAKING DAWN to the screen. I am excited and grateful to have all of you alongside me for my TWILIGHT journey.
All best,
Bill Condon
P.S. Answer #1: No, there won’t be any musical numbers
